I currently carry a Briggs and Riley Sympatico but i need something that can breath a little.

You already have the best brand. Find an expandable one that is still sized to exact specifications for carry-on. Gotta stick with that lifetime warranty.

I use a cabela's duffle too. It has several pockets and zippers. Soft sided is the way to go. I can always get it in the overhead. Fold my shirts and suits and it much easier to pack

This is my setup for the road. I NEVER carry a backpack. It ruins your suit jacket.

I'm too able bodied to roll a damn bag, so I carry mine...currently a Patagonia MLC.
