In the past, we always had 1 or 2 top tier commits on the hook by now. Does it not worry anyone that this year is different, in that we are putting the class ranking in the hands of 3-6 potential kids that really haven't shown loyalty anywhere yet?

Kinda... But I think if the coaches haven't gone and tried to find replacements, must bode well for us. Anything can happen though

It's mainly because Ed O likes to do official visits before and after the season so he gets more time with the kids. Definitely an adjustment.

I am just amazed at them being No 16 class in the country. I never seen and LSU team that far back recently, but I guess it's the number of 3 stars committed even though I think half those guys could be 4 stars. But yeah, a lot is riding on who they get at the end to move them on up in the rankings or else it'll be the lowest rated class that they've had in awhile.

There are definite adjustments that we have yet to even seen with Coach O. Realistically, we thinking we will for sure get: Marshall, Surtain, k. Joseph, Joiner, and Foster.

Marshall is the key to me. LSU desperately needs a playmaking WR to step in to fill the voids. Drake Davis, Sullivan, and Dee Anderson are all talented but raw.

**not to mention, we are getting the Texas Tech Transfer eligible next year.

Looks like O might be going that Bobby Bowden approach where they make a huge push late and close strong.

The other approach would be a Mack Brown where he filled his class the summer before the kids senior year.

Im getting nervous about this class. I hope he pulls it off. 2019 will be coach O make or break year in recruiting.

It's a calculated move IMO. He's making his push around the same time Nick Saban will be making his. Doesn't want to lose anybody to Alabama again.

I wouldn't focus on this too much. You get a couple 5 star guys (Marshall and Surtain) and some 4 star guys (Joseph, Keys, etc.) that ranking moves up fast.

To be fair to the WRs, our QB is very limited and most standout college WRs are pretty raw. They usually don't pick up on the technical intricacies of the position until they hit the next level. College is all about making plays. Just look at the WRs that go in the 1st round every year. i.e Mike Williams, John Ross.

Didn't we get Tyler, Phillips and Chaisson very late last year?

O is known as a closer. Let’s see what happens.

I don't see a top 10 class this year. We dont hardly get crystal balls anymore, Lsu is not a huge name this year, and coach O ain't a huge name. Wish it was not the case, but..

Looks like we are going to have to coach up our future players

Hows Canada do with recruiting?

Very disappointed so far. Especially consider the issues at UF and TAM. If anyone thinks we will compete with bama by bringing in classes outside of the top 10 is kidding themselves.
