I'm looking for a really good MMORPG.

I've tried WOW a couple years ago and it seemed really fun, but I couldn't get into it. Maybe I should give it another try.

I hear rift is pretty damn good, thinking about giving it a go.

What say you guys?

I really enjoy Black Desert Online. I've also heard good things about FF XIV

Well FFXIV is really good and two expansions in, along with all the extra content added with multiple patches. Sub is $15 a month but it's a deep game with so much to do.

There's a bunch of decent free ones, but if you're going to pay and not wanting to get back into WoW, FFXIV is a great choice.

elder scrolls online is pretty well done. I have two chars at max level. loads of content for the single player, lots of dungeons if you want to group up

I'm an MMO guy and never really got sucked into WoW.

Still heart broken over CoH being cancelled.

I know a ton of people that played this after their Everquest days were done and LOVED it, I tried it but I have never been a superhero person.

I don't like anything about superheroes for the most part.

It did give me an appreciation for superhero concepts. CoH/CoV was fast paced and every character felt unique. You weren't Druid #120,000,000

I'd go back to Ultima Online before I played TIBIA.

I've played WoW since day 1, so I'm partial to that. Next patch they are making leveling easier to do. You'll be able to finish stories in the same zones in most cases without jumping to the next zone because you've out leveled it. I like how they are trying to make improvements to the leveling system.

I think it's pretty interesting how certain people like different MMOs.

I've tried SW:TOR, GW2, Black Desert, and LOTR Online and none of them could ever stick. GW2 was the closest I think. I had a great time leveling in that game, but hated end game content. Didn't bother getting the expansion.

I haven't tried Rift, FFXIV, ES:Online, or anything else, but I've heard some people liked them.

You really have to get to the end game to start to like it with the current state of the game. To be blunt, leveling sucks right now for new players.

I have a hard time selling the game to friends who try it because they get bored after a while of leveling. The grind just isn't quite the same as it used to be, more of a chore.

I don't understand this at all. Leveling is easier than it has ever been. You could probably get to 100 in a couple weeks then at least you're at the current expansion content.

Right? If you no-life it, you could hit max level with a fresh character in a few days, especially if you have a friend who plays and can buy you some heirloom gear. I remember back in the day when it would take a few days just to gain one level and you actually had to talk to people to get into groups for quests and shite. Good times.
