"Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) said he will be voting in the Alabama special election next month for Judge Roy Moore, the man who beat him in the primary, because it is important to have conservatives in Congress.
“America faces huge challenges that are vastly more important than contested sexual allegations from four decades ago,” Brooks told AL.com in a text message.

“Who will vote in America’s best interests on Supreme Court justices, deficit and debt, economic growth, border security, national defense, and the like? Socialist Democrat Doug Jones will vote wrong. Roy Moore will vote right. Hence, I will vote for Roy Moore.”

“There are millions of people in America who would lie in a heartbeat if it meant adding another Democrat to the Senate,” Brooks said in the text message."

Mo Brooks should've been the nominee from the very start and Roy Moore should've supported him against Strange if he wanted to fight the GOPe as he's way too much of a liability.

frick Mitch McConnell for all the shite he slung at Mo to protect his swamp creature in Strange.

To be fair, the same could be said of the Republicans. Both machines are dirty as hell.

I don't know why people don't get this.

If you are a conservative and you vote for Doug Jones, a man who will vote against your beliefs and principles on EVERY ISSUE, you are out of your mind.

You elect a Senator on the basis of him representing your views and your state's interests.

Moore will do that, Jones won't.

The allegations against Moore are irrelevant to that.

Here's what most of the country thinks when they think about Alabama:

Except for Saban's football team, of course, which impresses the hell out everyone.

Why doesn't he just go ahead and say " There are many people who would vote for a child molester over a Democrat and I am proudly one of them"

I wish Roy would step down, not because I think he will be proven guilty of anything, but because I think the perception of guilt will exclude him from being considered for any position of senate leadership, thus making the office of junior senator from Alabama less effective than it can be.
If he cares more about effective conservative government than personal gain, he will agree, but I don't believe he does.
I have no way of knowing whether these women all had the same desire to come out one month before the election because their concious wouldn't let them keep it a secret anymore after 30 or 40 years...These women had ample opportunities to make their cases before now, as well as before all of Roys previous races... or its what I suspect, but also have no way of knowing, much less proving, that the whole thing is a character assassination of a Republican candidate by the Democrats.
The bottom line for me though, is the same as it is for Mo.
The job is for my state senator to vote for legislation that comes closest to advancing my own ideals and agenda, and Doug Jones is about as far away from doing that as he can be.
I didn't vote for Roy in the primary or the runoff, but as it stands now, I don't have any other choice.

That's how I feel. I never expect any politician to be a moral person.

I vote for who will vote in favor of my interests.
