Speaking of Boogie and 3's, ESPN posted a stat today that said Boogie is on pace to set the league record for attempted 3's by a player over 6' 11". Pretty crazy.

DeMarcus Cousins (101) has attempted as many 3s as Klay Thompson this season.

DC has more 3-pt attempts this season than plenty of names you'll recognize:

Wouldn't be surprised.

You have to consider we have basically taken 25% of his shots he used to take at the mid range and distributed almost exclusively as threes. He has taken roughly 50 more threes at this point in the season then he had this time last season(to be fair he is also on pace to take more FGA in general than last season). He is also taking fewer shots inside as well. Which I think probably has multiple causes, including tired legs from large minute loads, not wanting to occupy Davis's space, the defenses swarming to protect the paint because they don't respect our guards, guards that are below average at penetrating, less emphasis on post offense, and Cousins own love of the three.

2016:

Overall his TS% and EFG% is up over his career averages, so it is overall for the better, but I think some of the emphasis away from mid rangers means he does drive more than he probably should or would if we gave him the green-light to take more mid rangers. Not sure I have the answer whether the cost outweighs the benefits, since his mid range numbers were not pretty, but yeah.
