Brennan played in both of those games.

There is a very possible scenario that both Bama and Georgia get in the playoff and a 9-3 LSU gets in a New Year’s six bowl.

I don't understand why people think he is ready. He told Coach earlier this year that he wasn't ready.

He does have experience.

I just don't think that getting 120 snaps against the next 3 teams would really do more than getting 20 or 30.

Either way Miami will most likely be a different animal entirely.

The point being, if he's going to be good he'll be good whether or not we jump the Etling ship now or when we have to.

Hurts came in to relieve Blake Barnett in his first collegiate game against a decent USC team and accounted for 4 TDs himself in their destruction.

If Brennan is going to be the savior we all hope and think he will be.. He doesn't need "tune ups" against some bad teams.

You are correct sir. Johnny Manziel and Jameis Winston were redshirted, How many snaps did Tebow get his freshman year not in goal line situation where he was essentially a fullback?
Brennan needs to get snaps and run the offense in every game the rest of the year but he shouldn't get the majority if he can't do a better job than Etling.

This right here is the reason. You dont give up on a season when there are seniors and other players who have busted their asses to have the best season possible. some of you idiots obviously have never played a down of ball.

I agree, forget the rest of the season. Let Brennan get some experience. Sit Danny, and let him focus on his future as an investment banker.

I agree with giving Brennan some quality time the rest of the season but certainly not as a starter.

That’s fine. But no excuses next year when Brennan doesn’t have much experience

The ways freshmen get experience is because of injury or if they're clearly the better player. Neither of those scenarios apply to our QB situation.

He's going to get time to play but not if the game is hanging in the balance.

I really would rather us start Brennan the rest of the way. He already can't be redshirted and any hopes for a division title is all but gone. Get the dude some starts under his belt for next year, Arkansas and Tennessee are god awful anyway, seems like a golden opportunity to see what your future QB can do and get some growing pains out of the way while you can.

Why ruin Danny Etling's career to give Narcisse's backup next season some unwarranted playing time? Are you unhinged?

Who made Brennan Etling's heir apparent besides you? In fact, I hope he's not because he is not nearly mobile enough. Not to mention, that all the great teams have dual threat mobile quarterbacks and Myles isn't one of those. Plus he is as skinny as a rail. We need a mobile quarterback with meat on the bones, who can run it when called for and who can also find and hit receivers down field.

Brennan played against Troy because Etling was ineffective. The game was 17-0 when Brennan got into the game. He jump started the offense and led the team to a touchdown.

As bad as Etling plays at times, he is still the best option to win. Winning should be the goal, not getting players ready for next season.

Brennan should get plenty of 2nd half snaps the next two weeks if LSU comes to play.

Let's be honest... LSU could handoff every play and win the next two by double digits. Also, it would be nice to see Brennan in situations that could be run or pass. It's not like Danny completes passes that Myles can't.

I'm glad the coaching staff doesn't think this way because it's ridiculous.

I said could... interpreting my statement as they would or should is the ridiculous part. My point is that 90% of Danny's throws are to the primary receiver and there are no "reads" required. Brennan can execute these plays.

I think the most overstated thing about Danny is the fact that he "doesn't throw interceptions". I would argue this by saying that on multiple occasions Danny has thrown balls directly into defenders hands and they have dropped them. He could easily have 6 or 7 Int's on the year. Does he get a pass on these?

The idea of "let's try to get Brennen a few more snaps" is fine.....but him starting is basically a coach telling every senior on the team they don't matter so you're giving up.

giving up? This is our future starting QB that we're talking about. What's mind boggling is we're almost 8 months away from Brennan starting against Miami but starting him tomorrow would be essentially "giving up".

Narcisse will be the starting QB next year barring another injury. They want a QB that can run and pass.

Other than you, who designated Brennan as Etling's replacement? All I heard O say, is Brennan still has not beaten Etling out one time this year in practice. I'm thinking it's going to be Narcisse because unlike Brennan, he's a dual threat mobile quarterback.
