Why? It's a German hang, actually strengthens the shoulder girdle specifically rotator cuff.

Meh, the benefit will never outweigh the risk of that exercise. Are behind the neck pulldowns beneficial?Sure...but the risk reward is simply not there

No offense you are wrong. Pretty much every specialist in bodyweight movements and performance specialist that uses these types of exercise disagrees with you. Now one should work up to this as it takes more mobility than 95% of people have. Which is sad considered a complete beginners movement in body weight and gymnastics training


And behind the neck pull ups and pulldowns are fine so long as one has the mobility for it.
