Anyone receive platelet rich plasma (PRP) treatment for their knees?

I'm suffering from Jumper's knee and interested in possibly getting it done soon. The clinic says they have seen favorable results in 90% of their clients but I am skeptical.
I'd love to hear if anyone has received PRP for any sort of tendonitis issues and how effective it was as a treatment.
I've completed PT for my knees twice (also have misaligned kneecap) but the issue persists
Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is a substance that’s thought to promote healing when injected. Plasma is a component of your blood that contains special “factors,” or proteins, that help your blood to clot. It also contains proteins that support cell growth. Researchers have produced PRP by isolating plasma from blood and concentrating it.
The idea is that injecting PRP into damaged tissues will stimulate your body to grow new, healthy cells and promote healing. Because the tissue growth factors are more concentrated in the prepared growth injections, researchers think the body’s tissues may heal faster.
The treatment hasn’t been definitively proven. It also hasn’t been approved as a treatment by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. However, famous athletes like Tiger Woods and tennis star Rafael Nadal have been known to use these injections to help heal injuries.

My boss had it on his elbow. He says he don’t think it helped him.

Apparently it has been highly effective in treating chronic injuries. At least that's what the salesman...errr... doctor told me

Heard of two people that had it done on their elbows.
Both said it was extremely painful, like unbearable, but both said it worked.
I need it as well.

Joe Rogan talks about stem cell being injected and it helps, but the rehab has to be right for it to work. I don't think the Plasma treatment is the same.

At this point, I'd be willing to sacrifice looking like a pussy for 10 minutes in order to get back to where my knees were previously.

I'm interested in this as well. I have patella Tendinitis in both knees. PT did absolutely nothing. Such a shitty disease, I'm no were near being able to compete like I used to.

recently had this done in both hip sockets due to a complex chronic condition. the treatment left me in so much pain I felt similar to how I felt post-op following my hip arthroscopies and was unable to walk for about three days due to having the treatment in both hips at the same time.
I eventually experienced about a week of actual pain relief and then returned to my baseline in terms of regular discomfort and pain and have remained the same ever since.

My BIL has done it in both knees once and about to go for round 2. He got temporary relief from the first round.
Its more effective in tighter spaces like cervical spine.

I'm actually calling around the Baton Rouge area trying to find someone who does this. I need it for a small rotator cuff tear though

Broyles? Seems like he just does it for knees

Broyles does it on more than just hips. I found the folks at BRortho have an incredibly strong opinion about Broyles. Incredibly.
