A 2:1:1 ratio of Brandy (cognac), cointreau, and lemon juice. I like a lime peel and a dash of orange bitters added.
It is the margarita before a Mexican tried to make a side car with tequila.
ETA: well made, it's delicious. Poorly made, it will strip paint from the walls.
