We outgained them. And had 2 more first downs...

How? By getting wide open for potential touchdowns if we had a QB that could throw an accurate pass beyond 20 yards?

I knew we were done when we went 3-out pretty much entire 3rd qrtr

First year in recent memory, we outgained them, won time of possession, had more first downs, and missed the big plays that had the potential to win us the game. Watching this we had a chance the whole game. In recent years past you could tell it was over after the first quarter. I would argue outside of the INT we out played them. This team looked like they deserved it

Sad thing is it never reflected on the score board.

Also much props to the defense for keeping us in the game, and the Oline with a couple freshmen for doing a hell of a job. Better QB play might have yielded a W.

I don't think the narrative has been "scared", it's been the complete and total lack of offense. This year clearly looked different with their ability to move the ball which they have fixed, but you can't fix QB development that quickly. I think we all hope Brennan/Narcisse finally changes that.
