Folks can not say same old result. For the last several years we have gotten beaten for one reason only , and that is we got used in the trenches. This year that absolutely did not happen. if anything we won the trenches on both sides . That is super encouraging . That is what LSU football is all about

You serious?

You just start watching LSU football?

That statement is bizarre.

So they looked scared last year when we shut them out for 3+ quarters?

Not sure if scared is the correct word but utterly incompetent on offense is more like it.

That’s what I’m saying....

We played them hard last year. Yes we were shut out but this years game look extremely similar to last years.

Tough D, and didn’t execute on offense

How? By getting wide open for potential touchdowns if we had a QB that could throw an accurate pass beyond 20 yards?

If we hit a few more deep balls, could have been a different outcome

I knew we were done when we settled for the field goal. I was happy that the team didn't give up though.

First year in recent memory, we outgained them, won time of possession, had more first downs, and missed the big plays that had the potential to win us the game. Watching this we had a chance the whole game. In recent years past you could tell it was over after the first quarter. I would argue outside of the INT we out played them. This team looked like they deserved it

Sad thing is it never reflected on the score board.

Also much props to the defense for keeping us in the game, and the Oline with a couple freshmen for doing a hell of a job. Better QB play might have yielded a W.

Chark didn’t step up and make plays; had the big drop for a potential score. Guice ran a bad route that resulted in the INT and a Bama score. DE played bad, but didn’t get much help from receivers either.

I don't think the narrative has been "scared", it's been the complete and total lack of offense. This year clearly looked different with their ability to move the ball which they have fixed, but you can't fix QB development that quickly. I think we all hope Brennan/Narcisse finally changes that.
