Anyone on the Northshore see a large ball of light around 8pm?

Around 8 a very large red then green ball of light streaked across the sky and disintegrated. I've seen "shooting stars" go from red to green before but I have never seen one this big and what appeared to be close.

This was not some type of firework due to the trajectory and speed of the object.

Meteorites heavy in nickel burn green when they enter Earth's atmosphere, so that's probably what it was.

I saw something weird in Metairie same time. Similar in description. Looked like a very large Roman candle shot but flying straight across sky for long distance, was too low to be aircraft (seemed like less than 300 feet but if also seen on NS I guess it was higher and bigger than I thought). Almost looked like a super fast drone (that made no noise) putting off light.

In other words....I SEENT IT!

I assume it was a meteroite. Like I said I have seen them before but never have I seen one so big and what appeared to be close. It was a very cool thing to witness.

I saw something similar in North La. a few days ago. I forget the name of the comet but it is passing thru and dumping a bunch of debris into the earth’s atmosphere.

Was going to post this, saw a meteorite flying over my house maybe 15 years ago that was only a few hundred feet in the air that burned green. Found out later that the metal content can determine the color of the flame.

Id rather see than than be one.
Had one explode in air about 25 feet from me once.
I imagine sometimes people are hit, randomly. Head explodes. Life is a crapshoot.
