Shipley’s has a good donut. I’m 98% sure they are fried. They have that old school donut joint kinda feel

That metry rd locale is going to be franchised by Desi vega and Scott walker from the news, I do believe

How is the one in BR doing? I've been a couple of times and a decent crowd but that was right when they opened.

Whoever it was that decided to take the ribeye out and add pork to the queso breakfast burrito needs to be kicked in the balls. Way to completely ruin one of the best things going for breakfast on that side of town.

If you have a local roaster just buy whole bean and have them grind it. Better grind and fresher coffee.

Just get a coffee grinder. They are like 10.00 and you can buy whatever coffee bean you want, as well as herbs, peppercorns, or anything else you want to grind.

You really need to spend more than $10 and go for a burr grinder to get a good grind. Very tough to get a consistent grind with those blade grinders.

I agree and not everyone wants to grind a whole bag at once, in addtion to being able to grind that morning, Burr grinders also use no heat to grind so it does not affect the oil from the bean

I knew Scott was involved with Shipleys as I've talked with him about it. Didn't know about the Desi folks.
I think they will do very well in that area

I'm gonna go ahead and call BS here. I don't think it matters if you use a "Burr" grinder or not. The bean is what matters. I have been using a 10.00 mr. coffee grinder for a decade now and have produced some of the best tasting coffee I have ever tasted in my kitchen. You don't need expensive equipment to make good coffee.

Meh. I've read many different times in various publications that the better grinder does make a difference.
My friend has been in the coffee business for 15 years in mostly quality control positions and travels all over the world to coffee plantations and roasting plants, etc and she swears that it's important.

For an average joe like me, it probably would t matter, but it seems to be the preferred option for a lot of people

Good to know because I have yet to enjoy their D-Nuts! I am comparing to Mary Lee or Tiger Deauxnuts, 2 best in BR.
