That's good to know, because the donuts are awful.

Have always said the worst things there are their donuts.

They are really bad though.

Make sure you post it to Instagram or the visit doesn't count.

Their donuts are just not that good. Their biscuits on the other hand are fricking awesome. Also, have you had their nitro coffee? I love that shite.

NO doubt about the biscuit. It held up well even with the egg showing some sun.

Have not had the nitro but picked this up at the same time.

If you have a local roaster just buy whole bean and have them grind it. Better grind and fresher coffee.

I would never go there if they only had donuts. I had a lox bagel kolache a few weeks ago that was awesome.

How to they make such terrible donuts? It should be the easiest thing to make

I too feel the same way as most in the thread. Bad donuts, good other stuff

They make them all at 4am then leave them to cool before decorating them. Then open air for the hours before they are bought.

Sounds about right. They are so doughy and flavorless.

They also bake them, which can be ok for a donut I guess, but the donuts themselves are flavorless, doughy messes. They rely on the idiots that fall for the ridiculous toppings and goofy flavor combos. Good for them there’s a ton of idiots in the world.

I was in BR this past week for a wedding and stopped by there one morning. The iced coffee was pretty damn good. Biscuit was ok.

This is what I'm thinking.

Not to derail the thread, but there is a Shipley's opening in Old Metairie next month. How are their donuts?
