I think it would be a great game if they played again. Both have shown major improvements since that game.

Solid win for ND.

ND might be a damn good team this year with Georgia rising. I mean a 1 point loss to UGA?

And USC is basically Darnold and that Barnett guy playing sandlot...

This butt whooping was a long time coming.

And to answer your question.

Look at common opponents.

ND seems legit this year. A real player.

Not really. Notre Dame led most of the way but Georgia kept shooting themselves in the foot and had a true freshman QB starting his first game ever.

Yep. We had some dumb penalties that we have corrected over this year.

USC isn't this bad.

ND will end up in the playoffs.

That ND vs Georgia game was a very good game. Two very good teams went at it and it was a one point game. Both teams are very good. Would like to see them play again. Maybe it happens in the CFB playoff. If they both get there they both will have earned it. ND definitely would have earned it given their schedule this season.

Might find out next week. Notre Dame hosts 6-1 NC State, who may have the best DL in the country

Both are frequently overrated, so it's hard to know.

With the loss of a few key seniors, they were probably a top 12 team at the start of the season. Starting not long afterwards, they have been increasingly and absolutely decimated by injuries. Almost half of the starters are out. They matched up quite poorly with Notre dame.
quote:

Starting predator linebacker Porter Gustin is out with a broken toe and torn bicep. Starting defensive end Rasheem Green is not practicing with an ankle sprain. Starting nose tackle Josh Fatu is out with a concussion sustained in a car accident. Backup nose tackle Marlon Tuipulotu is out for the season after back surgery. Veteran lineman Kenny Bigelow is retired after a string of knee injuries derailed his Trojan career.

Redshirt junior Malik Dorton is the only starter not directly contending with injury, and he is just a couple of weeks removed from suffering a knee sprain against Washington State.

quote:

Out for season: DL Kenny Bigelow (retirement), K Michael Brown (knee), CB Greg Johnson (shoulder), LB Tayler Katoa (knee), CB Jonathan Lockett (hip), S Isaiah Pola-Mao (shoulder), OL Viane Talamaivao (pectoral), DL Marlon Tuipulotu (back), WR Keyshawn “Pie” Young (hamstring/redshirt)
Out: OLB Hunter Echols (hip), DL Josh Fatu (concussion), OLB Porter Gustin (toe/bicep), OT Nathan Smith (knee)
Doubtful: RB Stephen Carr (foot), Damon Johnson (back/concussion)
Questionable: OL Toa Lobendahn (pectoral)
Probable: OL Chuma Edoga (ankle), DL Rasheem Green (ankle), TE Daniel Imatorbhebhe (hip), Ronald Jones II (ankle), CB Isaiah Langley (illness)

With their remaining soft schedule they may actually sneak into the PAC-12 title game. Only with luck would they win that game, thus keeping the PAC-12 out of the playoffs

Notre Dame running game is really, really good. Adams is legit one of the best backs in the country. They just need to show that they can throw the ball consistently.

We have NC State, Miami, and Stanford left that are ranked, and Navy is still good. If we win out we should 100% be in the playoffs. I'm not totally sold, but I'm pretty bought in to this team.

USC was smoke and mirrors but as a previous poster stated if ND wins out they absolutely deserve a spot in the playoffs...that 1 point loss to Georgia is looking better and better.
