I have a Sony 4k projector in our theater. Like you, I have 100% light control. In that case, a projector is going to blow away a panel TV. Watching a 4k movie on our 137 inch screen is miles more enjoyable that watching on the 75 inch panel in our living room.
HELLUVA a lot more expensive though for the projector and screen route if you want native 4k.
