Then it punishes teams that build a trio of superstars through great draft choices...OKC when they drafted KD, Westbrook and Harden or GSW that drafted Curry, Klay, and Draymond.
Get rid of max contracts and you'll limit the number of superstars on a team because teams will get in real bidding wars for star players. Also adding a hard cap would help too since small market teams have a much harder time going deep into the luxury tax to keep 3 or 4 all star caliber players.
