well, we've sent things farther than the moon.

Astrophysics is the physics of sending the defending World Series champs back to off season.

Only if you believe the lies NASA tells you. There is ample evidence the earth is flat. I challenge anyone to prove otherwise.

Step 1
Start on NorthShore of lake Ponchartrain.
Step 2. Pay $3 toll and enter Causeway Bridge.
Step 3 can you see New Orleans only 23 miles away on level flat ground?
step four, You have just proved the curvature of the earth.

Why hasn't Mercury shriveled by now is what I want to know. Or has it... Was it bigger once upon a time and all that's left is it's center like a Tootsie Pop?

Carlos Correa hit a homerun this year that went 441 feet, had an exit velocity of 109.5 mph, and had a maximum height of 75.2 feet.
He hit the ball real hard, and the above stuff happened. Hope this helps.

That's nonsense.
Astrophysics was created by cis het European white males as a tool to oppress women and peoples of color.

Theres a couple of big assumptions, air quality, cloud cover, parallax from air temperature, refraction, etc.

Let's say a clear day, low humidity, you can literally see the road curve off in the distance.

We currently use a measuring stick to see how deep (old) the universe is. But we know the stick we use is limited (mathematics) and will need a new kind of stick to measure more accurately.

A more serious question from a flat earther would be of curvature of the earth can be justified for the difference in height between say the bottom of One Shell Square and the opposite side of Lake Ponchartrain. Thats 697' of correction over 28.65 miles, assumming both are at sea level.

So you were sleeping during the science period in 6th grade. Go stand on the shore of the ocean, find a ship sailing away, as the ship crossed the horizon it will start to disappear, the hull first and then the highest parts of the ship because the surface of the earth is curved.

Sorry, this isn't explainable in a blog post any more than one can explain binary options in a similar space. You just have to do the coursework (and lab work), there really isn't a shortcut.
Oh, and math. Lots and lots of math. But if you get option pricing models then the math used in Physics can be learned. It's one reason why the first Wall Street quants were mostly physicists, there's a fair amount of overlap in the techniques.
