But I couldn’t disagree more with the poster above that says the acting is atrocious, I don’t find that to be the case at all.

I don’t think it’s atrocious, but there have been some moments where the acting/dialogue felt very stiff or forced. And yes, I’ve seen just about all of Finchers movies and he’s the reason i started this series.

Very good show overall, but I do see what some people are talking about in the bad acting here and there

The acting is weird. It has a Dragnet feel and cadence to it. I'm not a fan, but I figured it was on purpose

Watch the video i posted above, it explains what you are seeing

Just finished my binge of all 10 episodes and this show is really good. There's some bad acting in parts throughout but that Edmund guy is brilliant. Can't wait for S02!

Not gonna read any further, but glad to see this thread is 4 pages. Hope that means the show is a winner.

I'll watch anything with Anna Torv.

Ford's character is so well done. This doesn't seem much like a discussion thread, but I enjoyed the intricacies that his youth exposes him to very much.

Bummed I have to wait for more episodes.

It may be a little silly, but I think there's a subconscious nostalgia feeling seeing Anna Torv work with an older, beaten-down agent and the younger, brash, finding-himself agent (Fringe parallel).

That last episode was crazy. So much happened. I can't wait to see how it all develops in the next season. One of the better series right now IMO.

On episode 4, really enjoying the series. Good acting and slow burning plot is great. Love the time-period and setting as well.

Just finished it today.

I loved all the Kemper scenes.

I really loved the two scenes in the last episode. Especially the lighting on Holden and what it meant for his characters arc as it changed from episode 1 to 10.

All the acting by the 3 and some of the now, "serial killers" is great!

Finished Episode 10 last night. Already looking forward to next season. Thought the last Kemper scene would go differently, but the wife said "I knew he was going to F with his head. That is what Kemper does."

I have been fine with the acting.
The music has been on point the entire time.

As someone earlier said, Zeppelin's "The Light", great way to end.

There's been some people complaining about the acting and dialogue. To me, this show feels very much like a stage drama. I take it the ones complaining aren't into that sort of thing.

That last episode was great. Can’t believe I breezed through the season so quickly. Kemper is awesome. Very well done show.

It took me a while to warm up to Holden's monotone style, but when I did I really like the character. It showed he had control of all the situations he was in...then that came crumbling down.

I loved in the Kemper scenes where he'd touch Holden, then gently place his hand on Holden's shoulder to show that it was OK.

The gf of Ford is abysmal and serves no purpose to the story. Fast forward anytime she shows up.

But, she's really hot and gets naked...

meh

SPOILERS (kinda)

I loved the show though. My favorite scene was the elevator scene when they not only avoid trouble, but find that they're being funded.

I just read that Ed Kemper is 6'9". Makes his final scene even creepier to me.
