Who else is thinking about giving up their season tickets and start buying from other avenues? Top 10 team coming in and tickets are selling for 1/2 of face on StubHub.

Are you complaining you can't scalp your tickets for a higher price?

It’s a partial function of adding more seats and the game day experience going to absolute shite.

No we can't even get face value for a top ten team. Not to mention the Taff fees we lose

I've been a season ticket holder since 97 and seriously thinking about giving them up

If you buy season tickets to resell, then you bought them for the wrong reason in the first place.

It annoys me when people bitch about the free market, both when prices are high AND when prices are low. The market is what the market is.

You get to write off a large portion of your TAF fee, and "face value" is simply an arbitrary number the LSU AD sets to hit a specific revenue target.

I'm seeing lots of tickets for sale on Facebook with little interest. Not sure if this is going to be he atmosphere the tigers need!

If you bought them for twice the price you could have still an issue

This is why I don't buy the "LSU has priced out the middle class fan" crowd's complaint. It hasn't been this easy to get affordable, below market tickets in 15-20 years.

My post is not about buying to resell. Its about buying at 4 times market value.

My 2 tickets cost $580 plus $600 for tradition fund + $15 service fee = $1205 Total

I could probably get 2 tickets to every game for under $300.

It's all about worth. Does a season ticket holder buy season tickets because they enjoy THEIR seats, or their section, or because they like to get to know their neighbors and see them every year? Do they enjoy not having to look for tickets the week before or on game day? Do they buy season tickets because they're guaranteed to have them again next year, better seating at bowl games, family tickets for 50 years, or simply to monetarily support the program? All of that, or some of that, or other things create the value in season tickets, none of which may be valuable to other people.

Point is, value of the ticket is derived by what the ticket holder values.

What do you guys expect? We lost to MSU and Troy. 2 turd games.

If LSU were undefeated, this wouldn't be an issue. College Gameday would be here and everyone would be snapping up tickets.

Lower bowl between the goal lines are going for $130 a ticket. Hardly half face value.

Don't forget the ridiculous parking prices, etc., that didn't exist years ago. Also, a number of those fans used to have season tickets or go to most games until prices kept going up and tradition fees were added, etc. A lot of those people have said F it and it's hard to get people back consistently when they've had enough.

TAF fee on lower bowl/sideline seats is $900+...now add your actual ticket cost ! "Face value" does not nearly cover the "real cost"....about the only way to break even is to Pair up your over priced seats with a good/great parking pass....that will give you some leverage to at least get most of your money back !
