This guy is world renowned LINK

quote:

Dr. Anil Nanda, a renowned surgeon and civic leader, has been removed from his position as chairman of the LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport's department of neurosurgery.

He declined to comment through an intermediary about his removal by LSU medical school Chancellor G.E. Ghali.

LSU Health Shreveport spokeswoman Lisa Babin provided the following statement from the school: "LSU Health Shreveport does not comment on employment matters."

In a letter submitted to USA Today Network, Nanda's colleagues lashed out at Ghali for the decision, calling it "a personal attack on a man who has dedicated his career to (LSU) and the education of students and residents."

The letter is signed by Drs. Donald Smith, Bharat Guthinkonda, Anthony Sin, Christina Notarianni, Hai Sun and Hugo Cuellar-Saenz and 49 other employees within the department.

Notarianni said Nanda's removal as chair is "devastating to our department."

Weird

There was supposed to be a symposium last Friday over there that was supposed to be ran by him

To say he's brilliant is an understatement

Dr Nanda has treated two family members with great success. I have referred people not even remotely close to LSUS to seek him out, and they were very happy.

Let's just say this is all about money and who controls what. He isn't a good ole baw like some in this hospital so he got removed from his position. The governor has been talking to him and not sure where all this will end up.

That is pretty shocking as I know Dr. Nanda on a professional level. I've met with him personally 25-30 times while conducting vocational rehabilitation conferences. Brilliant is an understatement as he's arguably one of the top Neurosurgeons in the world. Ironically I was in the LSU-S building last Thursday 10-5-17 meeting with a colleague of Dr. Nanda's to discuss medical treatment recommendations and patient care.

If Nanda decides to leave over this, it will eclipse LA Tech screwing up the Kim Mulkey hire.

I was once at jury duty selection for a malpractice suit against Nanda. I instantly got myself released for going to school with some of his kids. I ended up serving on jury for a double homicide instead.
