The Cold would probably be my favorite. Also The Judys (from Houston) were pretty good.

Then of course there's always The shite Dogs.

I second the Cold from New Orleans,
The Sheiks were great live.
The Red Rockers had some success with China on MTV but never did much after that

But I think Papi Mali is still doing his thing with well known artists and solo now.
