Romo is great tonight, because he isnt calling every play before the snap.

He's becoming like all the other boring arse commentators
I enjoy the inside info and talking about the plays

He wasn't doing that before. He did it a few times, but no where near like made out to be. Most of his commentary is insight on what to look for.

They told him to tone it down, it was reported.
I've mentioned this before in other threads.
It's been shown majority of armchair QB fans don't like to be told what is going to happen.
They like to be surprised, you know...sports. Or guess themselves.
Bill Walsh as a color commentator had the same problem with fans...he was the man who knew too much. He was let go.
Romo has to straddle that line between smarty pants and just good info. But you can't just ruin the expectation of plays to a general NFL audience. This is network TV, not the film room.

He's out the second half. He had a back strain lifting the mic.

Gary Danielson does the whole call the play out before the snap all the time, and people think its so great. All he does is go watch practice and talk to the coaches the week before the game and so he knows whats coming. Anyway, frick Gary Danielson.
