Danny Etling is doing almost everything right that we ask him to do. He gives 100% effort all of the time, makes the right decisions, and tries to be a leader on a bad team. His great play is being overlooked by the poor coaching and poor leadership on this train wreck of a team.

I really hate how they are handling this QB situation. Even if Danny isn't a world beater, you stick with one or the other. You have a starter and your backup only comes in if a) blowout (lol), or b) starter isn't cutting it. But if you go the backup in option b, stick with him. They have no clear direction with how they want to handle that position, shocker, and it's doing nothing for the progress of this offense.

I wonder if part of the rift with O and Canada is this, O keeps overreacting with the QB's and makes the call without consulting with Canada on it. Or it's Canada making the call and O isn't on board.

It's so dumb.

I think he's playing well, and he's gotten us out of some jams by pulling the ball down and running. I think he's our best option right now. Glad Brennen's getting his feet wet this year though to help him down the road

While I agree that he's the best option right now at QB, he has Jordan Jefferson syndrome on 3rd downs and short. He locks into one receiver regardless if they're double covered or not. He misses wide open guys in the flats that would move the chains all too often and it pisses me off lol. Other than that I like him...

ross dellenger does play break downs go take a look at those. On the surface Etling looks adequate but he's definitely making his fair share of mistakes. For instance, throwing into double coverage on a slant against troy and overthrowing the ball where he his receivers cant make a play.

Late in the game when he was moving the ball so easily I thought to myself that I hope he doesn't get it in his head that he can break long runs like this in the SEC.
