My profession places me in front of what would be referred to as “major” boosters in both a professional and personal setting. I wouldn’t call myself a major booster, and this isn’t a brag thread. Watching the game last night with several boosters and one board member, the disgust and contempt for LSU, specifically Joe Alleva, administrators such as F. Alexander and certain board memebers, was intense. There was some very real division and heated discussion from different camps last year and especially since the MSU game. Dissenting voices were being silenced. Anyone at the end of last season that spoke out against hiring Orgeron were ignored and have continued to be until this point. Now, the pro Ed camp is turning on each other in an attempt to save face and their positions. These people don’t care about LSU outside of the power generated by holding a high ranking position. Some within our university are attempting to use the school itself as leverage for better positions within the school and out. None wants to accept responsibility. The school has become a highly politicized game where one side plays by different rules than the other. Our school is in danger. It’s not just football. Where do you think JBE gained the confidence to speak publicly about closing the school? It’s a game. And LSU is the means to an end for some. LSU is devoid of any real leadership and those that possess it and have the means to implement real change are being silenced. God Bless our Tigers. Troubling times ahead.

Great. We're Texas. Without the prestige.

Wait are u telling me there is corruption and corrupt politics in a state run school in Louisiana?

You got to be lying, no way anyone would believe that.

The problem is deeply institutional.

Where do these pro-Ed snakes lie? BOS? Administration? Legislature?

Question, does LSU have that big T. Boone Pickens/Phil Knight type of booster?

Which is why Alvin Kimble has no use for Jindal nor Blanco, and the obtuse aloof actions they took in strong arming the BOS and denying folks like himself that truly love LSU and it's best interests.

LSU DESERVES EVERY BIT OF THIS TRAIN WRECK!!

Well, don't tell us who said that shite about that little bitch JBE when the election happened. What did you expect. Liberal as little bitch who gives 2 shits about LSU. He is a West Point guy. That's it. He might have a Law degree, but that doesn't mean shite.

I don’t have any reason to doubt what you say, but the factions, the politics, the infighting have always been there. I went to LSU in the 70s. It was no secret then - or now; sometimes it’s less obvious; sometimes moreso. It’s a damn shame, and it ain’t new.

Sounds about right...

Fire O but Alleva still AD;
Fire Alleva but F King is LSU President,
Fire F King, JBE still Govenor...

LSU is stuck and will not be a good environment the next 3-4 yrs.

Yes, we may have been in the same setting last night. This was more intense than at anytime before Miles was fired.

I mentioned the same thing earlier in another thread that this is nothing more than a power game.

This is going to be the dumbest fricking statement I will ever say... College football needs to be taken out of college.

What I mean is, it needs to be an independent league that has no connections with universities. I know, that wouldn't be college football then... I know that, but college football has evolved into a billion dollar industry. Some big wig fricks who don't know anything or don't care anything about football shouldn't play a factor in the people's team.
