Well are the studies here geared more toward DNA or melanin? I don't know, honestly.

That's certainly not what I'm saying. In fact, I'm willing to bet that there are significant differences within racial sub-types as it relates to IQ averages. For instance, I'm guessing that the average Ethiopian IQ is higher than the average Congolose, the average Norwegian IQ is higher than the average Greek IQ, and the average Japanese IQ is higher than the average Indonesian IQ.

OK fair point. American blacks have a iq around 80 which is 10 points above their subharan ancestors. The reason for this is that they have DNA from more than just subharan.
