Went to look him up and see if he had any other controversy documented and found this

There's also a fake apology quoted in there from Trevathon. I don't believe him so I'm not quoting it.
If you make a possibly life altering kill shot on someone and aren't immediately remorseful then I suspect you did it on purpose and/or are just a sociopath. What you don't do is get up and start talking smack.

Trevathan was born in Youngstown, Ohio, to Vincent Hicks and Michelle Hicks. His father played college football at the University of Toledo. He attended Leesburg High School in Leesburg, Florida.[1]. He was officially named a "POS" by the entirety of r/NFL.

quote:
Packers wide receiver Davante Adams, taken the hospital after a frightening helmet-to-helmet hit Thursday by Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan, is showing positive signs, Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy said early Friday morning.
"The news I’ve been given on Davante so far is everything looks positive,” McCarthy said (via the Packers website). “He’s already giving them a hard time at the hospital to get out of there, so that’s a great sign.”

Wow that was as dirty a hit as I’ve ever seen. Deliberately lead with the crown right into his facemask. What a piece of shite.

Remove - wasn't aware of the rule change. Receiver wasn't defenseless per NFL rules but still can't lead with crown of helmet regardless of whether receiver is defenseless or not.

One of my best friends went to school with him at Leesburg.
He's loves the guy.

There’s no reason to come in that hot on a guy who is wrapped up and going down. That reverse angle shot looks like a fricking missile coming in.

Lead with the crown of the helmet but it’s technically not against the rules though. Ball carrier is not “defenseless.”
You don't know what you're talking about.

Egregious by today's standards but tbh probably wouldn't even draw a flag 20 years ago.

He should be kicked out of the league for that. No place in football for animals like that. They are a danger to the sport.

Holy frick Trevathan. Glad that POS left the Broncos.
Hopefully Adams is okay.

Yep. Those guys are exactly the players the nfl is trying to get out of the game through these rule changes. The nfl has shown rule wise that they don’t want that type of player in the league anymore.

Came in too hard on a player already wrapped. Got turned at the wrong time. Receiver going limp and and the mouthpiece flying makes it look really bad. Dirtier than it was. But that's how it is nowadays

the 2nd worst part (after the hit, obviously) is how he was smiling and laughing at aaron rodgers and waiving "bye"

He used to like to take the crown of his helmet, at full speed, and put it in the softest spot of his opponents head

Yea he’s a piece of shite

Damn, I’m not watching the game so that’s the first I’ve seen it. That was fricking brutal.

. Ball carrier is not “defenseless.” You could argue it’s unnecessary though.
You can’t be serious
