If Adams popped back up I contend no one would be making that big of a deal about this hit....
I think he should be fined, but I think a lot of people see the turn and mouthpiece, and the natural state of today's times to freak the frick out about everything

people think its especially malicious because adams was already wrapped up and trevathon came in fricking hot like a cruise missile acting like he was trying to plug a back at the goalline. it was completely and totally unnecessary

Exactly. It wasn’t a hit to jar a catch loose or to keep a full steam ahead running back form scoring. It was a dirty hit on a guy who was already wrapped up and not really moving.

Look at the angle coming in. Receiver did turn and lower his head at the last second. Trevathon did lower his shoulders and did not leave his feet. 'Helmet missile' is ridiculous
