New coach, shite o-line, ineffective offense, blown out by an awful Ole Miss team on the road.

We should at least wait til year 2 before O is declared a failure.

He was supposed to improve the team immediately. That's the narrative that was pushed. A seamless transition from old school to new school, if you will.

I would expect this if it were Herman or someone else

What's worrisome is there's times the team isn't even playing hard

Can't judge him on year two. Breaking in a new QB.

Can't judge him in 2019. He'll still be dealing with some of Les's players.

Year 2020 is the first year he'll have all his players, only fair to give him a chance until that year.

If he bombs that year THEN he's on the hot seat, but gotta give him a chance to turn it around. Have to extend him another 3 years at that point. It's only fair.

But then he has another buyout with that contract, so can't axe him in 2021.

We're probably talking about 2023 before we can realistically think about canning O.

If we're going to kick this can of responsibility down the road let's really kick it.

UGA had an entirely new coaching staff, new system on offense AND defense that year, a true freshman QB, and still went 4-4 in the SEC.

And also, Kirby was recruiting his fricking arse off, which led to the fans giving him some runway. Orgeron's main talent was supposed to be recruiting, and we're looking one of our worst recruiting classes in a decade.

After melting a bit the last couple of games I've realized that my expectations were too high for this team this year. Last year was way more disappointing in hindsight.

O isn't a failure. The LSU fan base has failed the team.

Will they leave Saturday when the team faces a 31-3 deficit in the third?

That has always been the case. Maybe year 3 unless the thing is collapsing utterly

This team reminds me of LSU at this time last year. O-Line was not playing well and team play looked bad vs MSU (and agian vs Auburn).

And the sky-is-falling group on the Rant reacted exactly as they are now. I believe that this coaching staff will turn it around soon, hopefully vs UF.

Kirby Smart is only mildly incompetent. I'm convinced Orgeron is on the spectrum.

You literally took this from the Georgia fan on the rant.

Nick Saban's first year at LSU

2000?—?In 2000, the Tigers went 8–4 and won the Peach Bowl. The season was somewhat marred by several lopsided losses, including a 34–17 loss to the Auburn Tigers, a 13–10 loss to the UAB Blazers, and a 41–9 loss to the Florida Gators.

Five (5) defensive LSU players from last years team will Start this week in NFL
and LSU still needs a QB, he may develop from the current roster but he is not there yet.
