I watched a few streams. Nobody landing high pop zones, extremely defensive, camp fest.
What is the point when I know I have no chance at the money? It is just a LTM, our stats won't put us in any permanent ranking system.

And I agreed with you about the kills. I was talking about winning, there is clearly a reward for winning. Even if you have a 1 kill win.

8 kill duo W followed by 2 2nds in solo with 8 and 6 kills. frick this game, im done for the night.
the 8 kill, i killed 3 of the last 5 and had 75 fricking health left, i pumped him for 194 and he 1 pumped me. do all the work and a phroot with 1 kill prior to me gets the win. pathetic.

Got 11 wins yesterday.

Was a good day. Had some sweaty games. In one of the squad wins, I was lucky to be alive in the last battle. 4 AR bullets left, 5 shotgun ammo, no shield, less than 20 materials (spread out), and less than 30 health.
I've figured out two things: that aim assist hurts me alot in close battles and I need to hip fire a lot more, and my sensitivity is 6 on X and 7 on Y. The added speed on Y had really helped as I always felt I moved slower up and down.

Any tips for shotgun battles? I'm terrible at those and that's half the game.

Try not to be "all over the place" when in a battle. Try to use your jump as the aiming not the sticks. Only use the sticks for fine adjustment and not the main aiming tool.
When on the ground, ads right when you are about to fire to help with spread. Since aim assist can screw you, don't keep ads up.
If you are running a pump, fire then immediately put a wall to keep them from hitting you and you can reload a shot. Don't wait a second, assume they will shoot even if you one pump kill them.
Right corner peak in buildings and structures.
Try not to get into jumping battles. That becomes random almost. Try to build and reset the encounter.

That's good stuff. I like the ADS at the last second idea. I always just hip fire and it seems like I'll hit a guy for 9 damage and then get one pumped.

I try not to hip fire unless I have a Tac Shotty. You’re better off aiming with the pump to try and get the head shot

Ninja shoots Lupo on a rocket towards a squad, Lupo snipes them from the rocket, jetpacks down to finish them off.
Ninja then shoots Lupo towards another team, Lupo impulse grenades the squad out of their fort and down the mountain to their death.
I am convinced Fortnite will become the Taco Bell of Judge Dredd world.

got a 7 kill 2nd place at lunch. 5 left, guy is on a mountain, I rush his base and kill him. guy rushes me while im healing, i kill him too. another guy rushes while im looting, i kill him too.
i heal up to 150 and see 2 towers in the distance. i have high ground, but cant see which one the last guy is in. i peak my head up to scope the towers, boom im dead, 2nd place. dude had 2 kills. pathetic.
it was probably a 250m+ snipe from low ground, so lucky

getting a trap kill is gonna be tough with the new damage reduction. hope somebody gets shot and runs into a room with your spikes, i guess.
got the Wailing chests and snobby kills earlier. Center of storms is tough and pretty luck-based.
