Yes. It was not a snoozer at all though.

Raiders, yes.

Redskins, I don't think so.
Even hinting at blaming the viewership on these being "teams the country doesnt care about" is hilarious

Yep, that's why the Raiders are moving for the third or fourth time in my lifetime... That huge national fanbase must lead them to move so that more people can see them.
And since when has Oakland been considered large market?
There's a reason that every Oakland franchise has struggled for the most part for the past quarter century.

Just a quick google, but 3 different sites show cowboys, patriots, packers, and Steelers in the top 5 of "best." Can't find any quantitative data though.

Raiders currently have the 2nd, 5th, and 9th most popular jersey sell this year

I mean, down 17% last week is surprising given that it was Green Bay and Atlanta.
Being down another 8% this week isn't that surprising when it's Oakland and Washington. That game just doesn't have the same appeal, at least not to me anyway.
I doubt all of this is directly related to the President's comments though. If there was a 17% drop from week 1 to week 2, how do you explain that?
I think people are just finding better things to do with their time.
I know I watched very little of it last night, mostly because I was watching Astros/Angels, and went to bed before both ended. I never watch MNF, and rarely watch any games on Sunday period.

I know one of them is Marshawn Lynch. Which I know a lot of Seattle fans who bought Lynch Raiders gear just because they love Lynch so much.

It doesn't matter if a team is in Tokyo... If the fans don't care then you're not considered a large market club.
Take a look at Atlanta, Miami and San Diego in baseball compared to St Louis.
All three are larger markets, yet St Louis is the only city with fans that care, hence high ratings and revenue comparatively.

For the record, I don't think the OP meant the league would fold. I think he meant they'd end up having to deal with the protests somehow.
I think they will too. The owners had their little "I'm with the players" blurbs and Goodell issued his statement condemning Trump but you can bet that there's more than a few billionaires on the phone this morning. NBC paid a lot of money for the broadcast rights. GMC and Pepsi and whomever else advertises pay a lot of money for commercials.
The whole shitshow will come to a head.
People won't put up with the bullshite and the league is going to have to eventually "bend the knee..." pardon the pun.

I think the abundance of other entertainment is weeding out the people that were never really that interested, the people that just turned the game on because it was on. (Obviously there are some people that used to be big NFL fans that aren't watching anymore, but I think they are the minority.)
The NFL is regressing back towards the mean. Which is fine with me. It doesn't affect me negatively in any way. It can only affect me positively.

We'll see where Dallas comes in tonight.
Being down 8% from last week is the bigger story, IMO. Being down from the Cowboys on SNF is pretty much a guarantee.
