The Oakland playoff game last year was the worst viewed of the wild card weekend.
It is as if they had to Start Connor Cook

If they let it keep up, they will do something to survive. So yes, theyll survive, but bc their hand was forced...

Saying the NFL wont survive is stupid

Saying they wont lose viewers either is stupid

They are still the most watched sporting event on TV. They've got a long way to go before their survival is at stake.

Washington's opening game vs the Steelers was the 2nd worst of the weekend

Fair enough. They also had the highest viewed game of the season

Yeah. I find the ratings pretty fascinating, and it is difficult to pin down a reason for their dip. That being said, the NFL still absolutely crushes the rest of the entertainment world, so they're not going anywhere.

Ok. But what Cowboys opponent made the highest viewed game?

Answer: Washington Redskins. 7 million more viewed than the cowboys 2nd place game

It was the thanksgiving game with no competition. It had nothing to do with the redskins and everything to do with people people off work and the only game on.

I started another thread based on an article I found that says NFL ratings are expected to be up Y-o-Y once MNF is included. I don't believe it is definitive one way or the other, but it will be interesting to see where the trend goes next week.

They played multiple Sunday night games last year where people were off work with only one game on......

Green bay biggest national brand

Please tell me I am reading this wrong. Dallas is easily the most national brand in the NFL, has been for 30 plus years.

True. But owners and league start losing money, which they will if it keeps up....and watch what happens.... the owners will back the players until the players start costing them money.
Then the shenanigans will be over

My only point is no matter what happens, alot of people will say the protests had no reason for loss in viewership.

They put themselves in a cant lose position

Thanksgiving is different. Especially for the cowboys. It's a holiday tradition, not like a random Sunday night game.

I don't disagree with any of that. But you seemed to agree with the OP that the NFL won't survive this.
