The game was never close.

Yea, they're big markets, but who the frick in the middle of he country gives a shite about the raiders or redskins?

I'd put more stock into last weeks numbers than this week.

That's exactly how math works

If last year SNF had 100,000 viewers, which was diminished by 17% to 83,000 viewers last week. And this week was down another 8%, then you had roughly 76,000 people watching, which is almost 1/4th of the original audience

Please tell me you don't have a degree from LSU?

It was a whooping. Not that I think it has anything to do with the decrease in ratings. Maybe the late game ratings, but not the start.

so you didn't post this, right?

Wait, weren't you saying no one cared, and yet 25% tuned out? And that doesn't include the curiosity seekers that wont watch next week

Yes. It was not a snoozer at all though.

And like you said, it does not change the ratings from the start of the game.....

We’ll update with more SNF results and the Discovery, Steve Harvey’s Funderdome and more numbers as we get them. In the meantime, here are the top markets for last night’s SNF:

D.C.- 23.3/40
Richmond – 22.1/33
Norfolk – 19.8/31
Sacramento – 17.5/32
S.F./Oakland – 17.2/35
New Orleans – 17.2/24
Denver – 16.2/27
Buffalo- 15.4/24
Kansas City – 14.8/24
Las Vegas – 14.5/23

Didn't know New Orleans had big redskins and raiders fan bases.

But my point is proven by these numbers, Bay Area and D.C. are the most represented on that list.

I'm not digging my head in the sand, I just think last weeks numbers are more indicative of the problem than this weeks.

And the better number to use from that article would the the 10% drop from the same week last year, which is still significant. I'd be surprised if there wasnt a drop off after week 1 every year.

You just said 76,000 is 25% of 100,000

25% down isn't the same as 25% tuned in.

Yes you are. The raiders are a huge national fanbase.

And the skins and raiders make up huge markets.

Having bad ratings for that game is not good at all

He clearly said 25% tuned out in his original post. That is clearly hat he meant the second time around as well

Clearly. Teams are about to fold. Billion dollar stadiums will go the way of the Silverdome.

He's saying both are huge national brands. Which I don't entirely believe.

Raiders, yes.
Redskins, I don't think so.
