I seriously hate the NFL. The majority of players are retards that don’t deserve to be rich. But the league itself is just as retarded. It’s a double whammy of incompetence and stupidity.

Wouldn't let Deangelo Williams wear tribute cleats to his mother w breast cancer either, who I think died?
Shitty, but consistent. The point is the cleat issue isn't about patriotism. Sorry to disappoint.

W their uniform policy? Absolutely. In fact they have huge contracts w Nike (used to be rebook) ensuring that's the case.
You clearly don't know shite about the topic.

So, the NFL will and has historically allowed freedom of political expression in words and actions and visible signs of protest?
Get real!
Get real!

Wear a different cleat, sock, glove, uniform alteration than what is explicitly allowed by the NFL and you get fined, no matter what. It's been the case forever, it doesn't matter what the reason is.
Some players just accept it and eat the fine. See Clinton Portis back in the day as an example.
This isn't hard, you're looking for something that isn't there. Hate to break or to you.

The NFL would not let him die his dreads pink outside of October either.
Does the NFL have a contract with hair dye? fricking moron. You spend so much time trying to defend every position.
Do you even have your own?
The NFL, like any employer, could have immediately nipped this in the bud....but TABOO racism...10 foot fricking pole.
The real rub is that the NFL allowed this to happen, when in the past it had been so stringent.
It was not the PROTEST freedom, but the topic that allowed this to happen. If you can't see that you are beyond obtuse.
I use to think saying you had below a triple digit IQ was such a huge insult, but I never dreamed it was the majority of this country. Most are too stupid to have ever been tested!

Yes, and watching a bunch of grown men run around in glorified tights wearing logos of their teams is pretty ridiculous when you think about it. Why waste any more time watching something so stupid?

You understand your hair example supports my point, don't you?
The OP is trying to link 911 cleat fines to being anti patriotic but considering everything else they've ALWAYS done when it comes to what the players wear, this point makes no sense.
Why is this so difficult for you? Do you always cherry pick examples and make shitty arguments ignoring overwhelming evidence to the contrary?

The NFL banned Tebow from writing in his eye black...
quote:
Some of you may remember former USC and current New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush writing the numbers "619" under his eyes, giving a "shout-out" of sorts to his hometown of San Diego. I don't remember anyone giving him a hard time about that during his days as a Trojan.
Then along comes Tim Tebow with his usual Bible scriptures he writes on top of his eye black, and all of a sudden, the complaints start rolling in—so much so that the NCAA has stepped in and banned any player from writing anything on his eye black.

You clearly don't know shite about the topic.
. . . and you have the unmitigated gall to claim others "don't know shite about the topic"?

My contention is that the NFL has a strict policy about what players can and can't do with their uniforms and they get fined if they break the rules. This has been the case for decades and has everything to do with their contracts w their gear suppliers (reebok, now Nike) and selling more shite. Sometimes it's pink nike shite.
Been the way it's done forever. We know this, have known this. There's an overwhelming body of evidence demonstrating exactly how they respond to uniform variations EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
Explain to me, knowing what we know, how this 911 cleat violation is different from every other violation ever? I mean, seriously. This REALLY isn't hard. Talk about willful ignorance of the highest level.
