Baton Rouge will always be a shithole. Our demographics have determined it'll never improve. Get out while you can.

Opelousas or just north of there would be good.

This actually makes sense.
They just opened a new large cargo center at the airport for FedEx and UPS. FedEx also recently opened a yuge sorting facility 2 miles north of I-10 in the Cro.
It's a geographically central area for the Gulf Coast. Good access to both I-10 and I-49 which is undergoing a massive improvement project.
The LEDA is a pretty good organization as well. The oil downturn only resulted in a loss of roughly 3-5% retail revenue.
Grabbing Amazon would help diversify the economy more.

I saw that last week and couldn't help but laugh. Who would build there?

It's about time. This is a list of the many existing distribution/fulfillment centers:
United States
Goodyear, Arizona
Phoenix, Arizona
There are actually a total of 6 distribution centers in the PHX metro area. And an Amazon locker mail service.

That's not true. The sales tax thing has nothing to do with where they are located
I was just going by what was said. However, I see they started charging sales tax in every state that has one starting in March. Not sure why it was stated that this was a reason for the change.
