Thoughts on Old men coffee clubs

Is there a spot (usually a gas station it seems) that the old men gather every morning to BS and drink coffee?
The Citgo in my town. They are guaranteed to be there every morning.

Interesting. You ask if such a spot exists and then say these spots usually exists at gas stations. I'm confused.

I was wondering if it was just around this area or all over.

I see them a lot at the Mcdonalds off of the 49 Carencro exit. Whenever I stop to get breakfast before fishing they are packed in there

It did I told my wife the other day those old guys must just be showing up at the owners house in the morning to drink coffee and talk football.
I hear its going to take it a couple of months to reopen.

Highland Coffees gets some regular old LSU professor type baws

My grandfather and his baws went to a gas station, until the gas station changed owners and ran them off. Then they went to Hardees

I don't understand the appeal of gas stations for these old man meet ups. Or chain restaurants for that matter. Most towns have a locally owned diner/breakfast spot.
