Except we werent. Only 8 pressures on 22 dropbacks correct?

Incorrect. This fake stat is all over this board today. 8 pressures on 29 dropbacks. He was 13-29 passing. He dropped back a total of 31 times, was sacked twice, and threw the ball 29 times.

This 100%. Etling has little to no time

He threw the ball 29 times and on 21 of them he was not under pressure.

It's a lot easier driving someone backwards than to keep them from driving you backwards. Find some body comparable to you in size and strength and test your theory.

The physical act is harder. I'll give you that. I meant that as a team, it's easier to pass block. Quicker throws and drops, screens, chop blocking etc can all help hide an inferior Line.

You're telling me that you can't hide a bad O Line throwing it all day? You're also telling me that I should be OK w our Offensive Line play? Ok, got it.

I think Canada needs to tweak the offense to account for the team speed of SEC defenses.

But we didnt. Christ guys yall can actually look this shite up

We looked better down 30 when we were heaving the ball down the field, I'll grant you that. When the game was competitive and State was more concerned with generating a pass rush than getting beat deep, we had some struggles. It wasn't irreparable, but it wasn't text book when the game was still in doubt.

Yes we can. The numbers back it up
This is classic Alleva-speak/think. Classic bean-counter logic.

Q - Is the LSU football program healthy?

JA - Yes, look at attendance, look at revenues. $$$ The LSU football program is healthy.

Q - Are the fans satisfied with the way the team and staff are performing over the past 5 years?

JA - Absolutely. Look at attendance. Look at revenues. The LSU football program is healthy.

Q - Did you conduct a legit nationwide search (as promised) for a new HC before hiring Coach Orgeron?

JA - We had a want to do that, but then found this local
bargain coach already on staff and since he did ok as interim, it made fiscal sense to simply give him the job. And the numbers back it up. The LSU football program is healthy.

Q - And "healthy" - does that include the healthy numbers run up against LSU in Saturday's blowout rout by perennial bottom dweller Mississippi State?

JA - Umm...

That is where the 8/22 comes from

Etling was pressured on 8 of his first 22 dropbacks. The last 7 dropbacks they got no pressure.

8/22 is 36%

8/29 is 27%

36% is the average for an offensive line according to PFF

They exaggerate the o line play greatly

Yeah it sucks but we can still find success

I dont need to look it up. I watched the game. We got dominated in the trenchs on both sides the ball. Stats for people that dont know what they watching

Know what kind of people say stats are for those who don't know what they are watching? People who's feelings and views are different from what reality actually is.

If I told you before the game that our rb's would average 5 yards per carry and that our qb would only be pressured on 27% of his 29 pass attempts you would take that in a heart beat.

The defensive line is another story. But the offensive line wasn't even close to as bad as most of you are trying to make it seem. On our only touchdown drive of the game, WE DIDN'T THROW THE BALL ONE SINGLE TIME. We literally handed it off over and over again behind that offensive line you guys think played so badly.

As is the notion that was presented...
Statement - We can't block
Response - Yes we can. The numbers back it up.

As a fan, I gotta say - But the results don't.
