Caterpillar, I think you were too young for this, but for the incident you are talking about, the seniors actually did a superlative about it. The teachers and admins had no clue about it because there was no reaction of shock, anger, disgust anything.
It was something like "Which student is most likely to really enjoy his last week of summer vacation before school starts" and it was the guy you described from the track team. Pretty innocuous superlative but it got by far the loudest reaction from the students, and all of the teachers were just confused as hell. Apparently the student and the teacher started hooking up right before school started.
Fwiw, I think he might have been 18 already and she was a sub, not a full teacher. Really cute, good personality, probably around 25 and single.
Unfortunately, this sounds much more serious. I hope the BRPD isn't investigating a situation like the one above because that would be a total waste of time.

HH was definitely attractive but from the little I knew of her, she seemed pretty uptight and definitely far from the type of person who would do anything incriminating.
There was a slightly older chemistry teacher (mid 30s?) who was definitely attractive and I think she left after she married a rich older guy.
Can't think of much else back in the early 2000s. There was a history teacher and football assistant who the girls were all in love with though. But I don't know of anything ever happening. I knew him and figured he would much rather be with an older chick who would appear on a Rock of Love type show
The main scandal was the CFO you mentioned who was allowing the headmaster to take zero interest loans from the endowment to pay for his son's rehab. But that is all public info.

I've heard who it was as well and actually know the guy decently well. He was a coach and teacher while I was at EHS. While he does have an outgoing and flirty kind of personality, there is no way I could ever see him doing something. To me this seems like this is a case of him saying/doing something and that one person taking it the wrong way.

If they are referring to the teacher I’ve heard, yes he was on staff during that time period

I think I know who they are referring to and that is surprising. I never had him as a teacher because I came later on, but both male and female classmates really liked him. He was very well liked and across a wide range of students, both high achieving and not.
He always seemed a little self righteous to me but I had limited interaction with him.
