Anyone got experience in a 16 or 17 with infant car seats in a double cab?

It's gonna be cramped back there. There was a thread a few days ago discussing the Tacoma vs Tundra and this was mentioned a lot.

Been reading a lot of 2015+ tacos having tranny problems.

Google Tacoma and transmission problems. I dont think the recent Tacomas are as bullet proof as the older ones. A lot of recalls.

When I bought mine I looked at a used and the amount you would pay for a used vs new...didn't justify me going with a used car. New is the way to go. These things really hold on to their value.

I didnt read any of the posts , but i owned a third gen for a short time. I loved the look and the style, but that thing was an absolute pig . Id say for the money , get a Tundra.

Only issue in all the time were squeaky leaf springs and clicking u joints.

My dad liked my '02 so much, he bought a '99 used. The plastic thing holding one of the back windows had a crack and one of the leaf springs was as squeaky a car part as there has ever been.

When I had to get rid of it in 2012 - not a single thing else was wrong with it.

I'm considering purchasing a 2015 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab V6 4x2 with 24k miles on it for $26k plus taxes and fees. It has the SR5 extra value and TSS packages as well.

Tacomaworld.com

I have a 2008 that just turned 100K. Great truck. Pulled loaded uhaul from NAS Pensacola to upstate NY. Never any problems. All work on it was done by me.

I thought Toyota supported them, they're part of the LBGTUVWXYZ alphabet soup.

No different than my 2008. Two carseats. No problem.

I bought mine new because I would rather be the one selling to a guy like you for $3k less than what I paid for it 3 years later.

Also, get 4x4 instead of TSS, comes out to about the same price but you actually get some utility not just upgraded rims and badging

I do but for 2015. One seat is not big deal, although you need to flip passenger seat forward to maneuver it in and out. Of course, you will have limited storage while the baby is in the car, but I have never had any issues.

2016 model I think is a tiny bit bigger in the cab, so can't see the experience be any worse.
