truly an incredibly humbling experience to see as a young teenager at the time. It still so surreal to watch 16 yrs later.

I can't believe our own government did this to us.

Such a terrible day brought upon us by such terrible people.

Whoa killa, everyone has opinions now.

There's opinions and then there's pure ignorance

And then there's open minds (examining all evidence available) and there's close-minded sheep that believe the agreed-upon story without examining any evidence at all. Still, it was a tragic day in US history that I can remember like it was yesterday.

"Open minds". A phrase that has been cheapened by liberal snowflakes.

For everybody that was at least conscious and was aware of what was going on, that will be the biggest OH MY frickING GOD!!!! moment you will ever have in your lifetime and it will take a goddamn nuke to top it. Every american who was alive that day will go their graves never having seen a moment that can top that.
It just blew our minds up that this shite really was happening. It was such a complete mind frick, so big of a mind frick it changed america forever in changing how we travel not just in the air but on the ground as well, installed a large and ever growing surveillance state, and dragged us into a quagmire overseas that will take generations and trillions of dollars to leave.
9/11 changed America and the rest of the wold permanently and for the worse I will say.

Video Timeline of Airspace Shutdown
Pretty crazy to see how everything came to a halt over the course of 75 minutes give or take.
At 10:56 real time (around 1:15 on the video), about an hour after all air traffic had been grounded, you see a plane taking off from near Wilmington, NC and HAULING arse across the ocean.

One of the biggest things that gets me about 9/11 is all the first responders that have died since that day due to cancer related to exposure to the dust and asbestos that was present. Sucks so bad. Being heroes helping people out and that happens.

At that speed I would think military

Just dust and asbestos? No one was allowed near ground zero for days after the collapse to supposedly allow much of the "radioactive" dust to disperse. Radiation is a much faster way to get cancer. Had to blow up those steel beams for the controlled free fall demolition with the smaller radiation bombs
