I was just in this area and at Multnomah Falls less than a month ago. So sad. One of the most beautiful places I have seen in person.
I highly recommend a trip to Oregon. I agree with just about everyone else in here that Portland itself was meh. But the rest of Oregon is amazing. Cannon Beach is great. I never thought I would stare at a rock for so long and just be amazed.

If you didn't get off the beaten path, like most tourists, you didn't even scratch the surface. Its an amazing area in the backcountry.
