Of course its not optimal
now compare a child raised in stable, same sex home to a child raised in a divorced home, or a child raised by a single parent, or a child raised in a foster home

Yeah, I'd bet serious cash that even if this is true (I doubt the source's reliability, especially due to a limited population they admit to) that kids of same sex parents end up far better off than children who grow up in a single parent home.
And the obesity has to come from mostly from the lesbian side of the same sex parenting. I'd never suspect that a kid of two gay guys would make it more likely for them to be obese due to gays probably being the most in shape subpopulation in the country.

This is a silly and intellectually weak comparison. Apples to oranges.
Turn it around...compare a child raised in a stable, heterosexual home to a child raised in a gender confused home with a couple of drug addled "Rainbow Warriors" holding weird sex parties with children every weekend.
Which is better for the child????

Now compare a child raised in a non-stable, same sex home. It happens you know.

Totally agree! Children should be raised in a stable household comprised of a mother and father if possible. So basically we need more responsible heterosexuals raising children to stop this abomination.
