Pittsburgh's skyline is a nice view coming from the tunnel.

this x 100.

Driving into town from the Airport I nearly wrecked when we emerged from the tunnel. I had no idea what I was in for when we entered.

Youtube video of the drive through the tunnel (not my video) watching the video doesn't quite capture it exactly, but you get the idea.

Chicago's coming up Lakeshore from Soldier Field past Grant Park is one of my favorites anywhere.

Manhattan crossing the Queensboro bridge is pretty awesome as well.

For mid-sized cities, Pittsburgh, as mentioned, has a cool skyline. Seattle's is beautiful on a clear day. Cincinnati has a very underrated skyline.

ETA: Also saw Vancouver mentioned - breath-taking (again, on a clear day). Vancouver and Chicago are my top two in North America.

Thanks for fixing those pics. It's amazing how huge those mountains look from so far away.

I know that Denali is basically a bazillion zip codes in size but still.

Hard to fathom. It's the tallest mountain on land in the world. The surrounding mountains are normal but Denali blows them away

Foraker is over 17000'

On a noice day you can see 7 mountain ranges from Anchorage

I lived in Seattle in the late 90's. What is cool about Seattle's skyline when you can see Rainier is how far it is from downtown Seattle. It's 80+ miles. Crazy how huge it is.
