What GoT historic event would you most like to see?

I really need to see The Tourny at Harrenhall and The Battle at the Trident.
The Harrenhall Tournament would have everyone there and show the real badasses in action. Plus it pretty much was the first domino to fall that sparked the whole Robert's Rebellion. We know pretty much about what all happened. The Knight of the LaughingTree would be intriguing.
The Battle at The Trident would answer a lot of questions. Who was right and who was wrong? Ive shared my opinion in another thread but I really believe Rhaegar fricked Robert up but spares him to make peace. Robert agrees but blindsides Rhaegar because Rhaegar tells Robert of the marriage. Robert keeps this information to himself.
Honorable mention:
Young Jaime and Ser Arthur Dayne fighting the Smiling Knight.
A book centered around Robert's Rebellion would cover those two events but it wont happen. I think we get the death of Rhaegar in a vision from Bran but will be too brief.

I don't know what any of that means

Easily this. You would get the KOTLT and the story of Lyanna and Rhaegar, you would get the Mad King naming Jaime to the King's Guard (and Tywin's reaction), and we would finally see Howland Reed.

I'm just trying to find out if it was the same lion actor that played Simba, also played Beast in Beauty and the Beast.

I don't want anything to do w/characters from the current show. (same as how I wish Disney would stop using Star Wars characters from the original trilogy to do shite like Han Solo and Obi Wan flicks)
Give me the Dance of the Dragons.
Give me the Dance of the Dragons.

I''ll take the man that cracks skulls and fricks girls over the prince that sings songs for the poor people all day long.

If we're going the route of not having current characters, then it is Dunk and Egg for sure. Old Nan even says in the first season that the tales of "Sir Duncan the Tall" were Bran's favorites (aside from the scary stories about the Long Night).

I would like to see something to explain why Rhaegar and Lyanna didn't tell anyone the truth before they started a war that got their family members killed.

And Rhaegar beat them all at Harrenhall then took Robert's girl even when he already had a GoT 10.

And not as it was told. Was probably unfair. Robert was a POS.

I agree. That is what i said in the other post. Im just now realizing how shitty Robert was. He should have never been king but apparently he was the only one to want the throne out of the big players on the rebel side.

He was so jealous he couldn't have what he wanted that he caused a rebellion.
He was the only one to ever talk down on Rhaegar, that over time...people just took it as truth.
Ned never spoke up to defend him because he was protecting his dead sisters only living son.
I'm sure Robert lied to Ned to begin with.
The other thread Henry started about those two being the biggest POS because of love, it was all Robert not being able to accept "No".
His jealousy was the cause of it all and his rebellion was built on his own lies and ego. When in turn, made cersei such a bitter bitch.
I bet Rhaegar would have owned him 1 on 1. As we saw at the tower in bran's vision, the victor writes the history. Even if it's bullshite.

As much as I love the idea of the House of Dayne, and Dawn being a magical sword that makes the fighter better, it's too late to bring in Ned Dayne.
The most realistic for the show would be Rhaegar being obsessed with the Azor Ahai prophecy, and basically believing that John would be the chosen one.
ETA: The Tournament at Harrenhal would be awesome. That way we could get closure that Lyanna is the Knight of the Laughing Tree.

I'd like to see the first Long Night and how it played out. Also, the Blackfyre Rebellion would be entertaining.

Well we've seen over 7 seasons how important honor was to the Stark family. It's everything to them. How much shame would Lyanna have brought to her family for dumping the man she was promised to in order to marry a married man with children? Rhaegar was the prince and heir to the throne so he probably didn't care what people said about him, but his love for Lyanna probably compelled him to try to protect her honor and her family's honor by allowing himself to be the villain in their fabricated story. Young people in love do stupid things.

Lyanna Stark has the same characteristics as Arya. There is no way Arya would marry a person similar to Robert.

Which would be ironic if she ends up with Gendry.
