SEC coaches worst nightmare

The Leo Lewis story has to have SEC coaches on the edge of their seats. Those close to college football recruiting know about all the happenings that go on behind the scenes for the big-time recruits and realize it takes just one disgruntled player to take their program down. We saw it with SMU and now we're watching it with Leo Lewis and Ole Miss and MSU. It only takes one unhappy player to spill the beans and all hell will break loose. It will be interesting to see if there are any "copy cats" out there that are mad enough at a previous school they attended or were being recruited by and it didn't work out to spill the beans on their recruitment.

He says they turned down $650k from LSU for $11k from MSU! I didn't realize state was such a good school. He's gonna need it.

Leo Lewis is in a no win situation. This will probably steer players away from being a snitch.

Leo Lewis better hope that the Allen guy (who gave him $10K) doesn't have any connections to bad people.

Good point and I wonder if he regrets opening his mouth. I think it's funny how several coaches from around the country have been hinting that the SEC is out of control cheating for years, yet not one of them have come out and said a word since it all broke loose. I find that interesting.

Every single team that is a perennial top 25 type program has some shady arse boosters and plenty of skeletons in the closet.

College football recruiting this era - "Lets give thousands of dollars illegally to an attention seeking 18yo from the 'hood that can't stay off of Twitter and reads on a 3rd grade level! What could go wrong?"

All the major programs cheat or they have no shot at getting the top players. Period. These players can go anywhere in the country, so every program has to play the cheating game or they won't even get near that recruit. Unfortunately, this is what big time college football has become. I hate it when fans talk about the players are getting a free education, because if these players were held to the same standard as normal students, they wouldn't stand a chance of getting in. That's why it is so important for these major programs to continue to pamper these students once they're on campus because one disgruntled player can cause a lot of damage.
