I can't remember if the actual game against Auburn in 2003 was delayed but the pregame show was delayed by lightning and the band was not able to do the normal pregame routine. So kickoff probably was delayed.

Starting the season in mid-September would solve most of these priblems.

The mandatory lightning delays have only been in effect for a few years and since this is a high volatility weather location we are more susceptible than many places.

Understood. I would think all of the schools along the I-10 corridor/Gulf Coast and the FL schools would be affected more than others. But still wondering who's been affected most.
