I'm hearing all kinds of things about how the game may be cancelled. I hope the gulf coast can get through this storm without much problems and everybody stays safe but this is ridiculous if we get a cancelled game 3 years in a row. Hopefully both admins are scrambling to find an alternative if this is going to be the case. Can't believe this

Isn't the storm slated to hit this weekend? Is there really a threat to our game a week later?

Sounds like these decisions are being made in Gainesville and at SEC HQ's in Birmingham.

If they aren't working on an alternative site as we speak, it's a conspiracy and they can all go to hell. The powers that be really do suck if they don't have an alternate site.

I don't know how concerned officials are about the game but at a minimum they should be discussing contingencies. It will hit this weekend but linger along the coast for several days. Rain and flooding is the concern.

A&M is playing in california. It'd be feasible to play the game at Kyle field.

It would suck arse. No consolation that Alleva would be involved.

Also, if the storm goes even 100 miles farther north than the projections, the impact on Houston increases greatly. Also depends on how long the stall over Houston would last after that. It's wait and see mode right now, but it's definitely something that should get your antennas up.

Contingencies are probably being discussed we just won't know about it until they see what the storm actually does. No point in coming out now and announcing something. Still will have plenty of time after the storm hits to make a decision.

The storm is supposed to sit on Texas for 4 straight days. And then potentially move towards Louisiana. It has a chance to be a Cat 3 storm, cause serious storm surge, and extremely serious flooding.

If you don't think at the very least contingencies are being discussed you are the idiot, not him.

Absolutely agree with that. Just noting the point of impact, and timing, isn't really why this is being discussed. Parts of Texas are going to experience severe flooding, it's just a matter of where it happens and how prolonged the problems are.
