Isn't the storm slated to hit this weekend? Is there really a threat to our game a week later?

Sounds like these decisions are being made in Gainesville and at SEC HQ's in Birmingham.

I don't know how concerned officials are about the game but at a minimum they should be discussing contingencies. It will hit this weekend but linger along the coast for several days. Rain and flooding is the concern.

Could very well be. If Houston is in a state of emergency they likely won't want that extra traffic in the area. This thing is projected to stall out right over Texas. It's going to drop lots of rain. Houston is venerable to these types of storms. If I were LSU I would be coming up with a contingency plan just in case. Can't cancel this game!

The storm is sitting between two highs and the threat exists that is couid drift eastt late next week. If Houston gets projected 30-35" of rain, may be hard to recover in less than a weeks time. The powers that be should be discussing Plan B quickly

The Weather Channel is saying it could stall after making land fall and drop as much as 30 to 40 inches of rain on South Texas, so yes that would impact the game. I hope not for us but especially for the people living in that area.

NRG Field could be being used as a shelter if things get bad enough.
