None of those enslaved a race for 400 years. You have to go back to Moses for that.
One just straight up murdered millions of its own citizens, and another literally tried to erase the history of the aboriginal people
Come on, dude.

What modern nation enslaved a race for 400 years? I guess maybe the UK, unless you're talking about an African nation?

How did Israel manage 400 years of oppression in just 70 years of existence? Same for Singapore? And Zimbabwe is even younger!

I'll ask again. What modern nation (to be nice and use your very narrow requirements) managed 400 years of oppression?

I assume that you mean Germany. If so there were about 144,000 Jews killed in Germany. LINK
Either way I'm not sure that deserves a laugh emoticon, but whatever.

Australia, for your consideration:
[link=(For Patty Mills, giving voice to indigenous Australians comes naturally https://es.pn/2mYT5bb

And, hell, it's common in western Europe for racism to be openly displayed at professional sporting events.

One of the darkest chapters of Australian history was the forced removal of many indigenous children from their families. The practice began in the earliest days of European settlement and was government policy in parts of the country until the late 1960s. Children as young as babies were taken from their families to be placed in group homes, with foster families or on church missions. Hence, the "Stolen Generations."

That's terrible. It's a lot like how native Americans were treated here.

Yeah, because the murder of Jews is funny
Just stop.

but none of those countries aside from South Africa systematically
Japan STILL enforces racial purity. It's practically open season on blacks in Russia even today. The same goes for many other former Soviet Union countries. In India they have an entire class of dark skinned people known as "untouchables." In the Philippines there is an entire industry devoted to skin lightening because dark Philipinos are considered second class.
I've lived and worked in all of these countries so I'm not speaking from reading books. I've seen their discrimination practices first hand.
I'm not sure why you think racial discrimination is an exclusive invention of the U.S. It's not.

Every nation on earth that's been here more than 5 minutes (using that as a turn of phrase) has a very racist history. It was kind of the way of the world up until modern times.
Doesn't excuse it, but let's not act as if the USA was/is singularly dastardly. And we put the kibosh on our shite nationwide far sooner than most. Lot of countries dealing with racial strife on a level we've long since moved past.

I have always refused to use the term "African-American". I will say "Black" or "Black American".

JFC. An industry devoted to skin lightening in the Philippines is equivalent to slavery and Jim Crow?!? I'm done.

"Black" is just easier for me to type/say, so that's what I gravitate towards irl. "African-American" can become kind of a mouthful
Use both terms interchangeably. Neither bothers me.
But, in official discourse, I prefer the term "Texan-American," in reference to my person, I'll have you know, good sir

Hold up.....answer me this: would an industry so blatantly racist as that thrive in the USA today?
Would you not agree that that fact alone highlights a depth of racism that surpasses what we experience as Americans in 2017?
Noticed you skipped right past his mentions of Japan/Russia/India. I've been to Japan....that shite is eye-opening.
Hell, there was a commercial that made the rounds on YouTube like last year for a Japanese laundry detergent company where a black guy is making eyes at a Japanese chick in a laundromat and when he approaches, she throws him in the nearest washing machine. Dude pops back out as a white guy and THEN she embraces him I swear to God I'm not making that up. I'll have to find a link.

That is probably one of the most Japanese things I've ever heard of
