So much for free speech while expecting privacy. I'd take these bastards to court for defamation for blasting my name all over the internet.

You wouldn't have much of a case, unless you didn't actually attend and someone photoshopped you in due to a personal vendetta. This is totally legal. There is a lot to be said for social ostracization (it's a far better punishment than legal repercussions), we are just on the short end of the stick on social influence.

Freedom of speech =/ Freedom from consequences

The constitution doesn't protect you from being fired for saying stupid shite. It only protects you from arrest and formal prosecution for saying it.

People walking around in public have no expectation of privacy.

And if they do, they are dumber then they look.

We hate outing protesters and them getting fired now don't we?
Remember the reaction here when the leftist redhead teacher who called for "some muscle" and was outed and fired? I do .

How in the ever loving frick would you have an expectation of privacy for showing up at a public event?

And why is it defamation when all they did was say, "Hey, everyone...look where this dumbass was last night"?

So are you saying you'd have been so fricking stupid as to be there in the first place?
