Brennan needs a few more sandwiches in him before we trot a freshman QB out there to die behind this sheet of Kleenex we call an o-line. Whoever is back there is going to take some serious damage this year. You geniuses really want it to be Brennan?

"Remember the time I completed 50 percent of my passes, threw 4 interceptions and 0 touchdowns against the Bills?"

Signed, Tom Brady

FYI, Patriots won the Super Bowl that year.

Lesson: stats from one scrimmage don't mean anything. Let's see how this plays out the next couple of weeks. And in the first game. I trust Etling will come thru. But there's no denying Brennan is special.

Etling played against LSU 1s. Remember Jackson of Louisville?

Yep probably why we just brought in some support for the WR position. People are so dumb on here it's really terrible. This is every year. Not you btw I'm simply agreeing with you but not with the OP.

I guess people don't realize that the more mistakes they make now, the more they learn for the season so these coaches are purposely putting them in tough situations so they can see how they respond. Then if there is a mistake, work on it. The season is getting close, you have to challenge these guys NOW and I have no doubt that is exactly what we are doing.

You are new here aren't you? That has been going on for decades.

I bet you don't know that an All-American qb at LSU had to share playing time.

Who were the fans calling for when we had a good starting qb like Mett?

I don't ever recall a backup

Of course he's the best QB, he's the backup

Same story, different year. The tards were saying the same thing about Brandon Harris when he was a true freshman. Give it a rest. Etling will be the QB until there's nothing left to play for. At that point, Canada can play for the future and put in whichever backup he wants to.

Etling doesn't have the talent that Myles does. It's obvious. Realistically, Myles could be ready week 1. Honestly, there is a good chance Myles continues to practice better than Etling and wins job by mid season

I was present at the scrimmage. Etling went ones-vs-ones with a make shift line. He looked like the best QB today. Brennan played well. He did made a good number of mental mistakes, and threw a TD vs the #3 secondary. Etling looks like the best QB in the program by far. Not what I heard. What I saw.

Even if Brennan does not wind up starting this season, he would still have two or three more seasons as the main quarterback.

It was situational. Not straight reps VERSUS OUR ONES, and a banged up O-Line. Im just saying what I saw. He knows the offense and threw well. The starting O-line struggled with pass protection today as CEO mentioned.
